Tarik Muharemovic's rapid rise in English football has reportedly attracted the attention of Bayern Munich, with the German champions now being linked with a major future move for the Bosnia and Herzegovina international.
According to reports highlighted by Bavarian Football Works and originating from TEAMtalk, Bayern are increasingly interested in the Leeds United centre-back and have placed him high on their list of defensive targets heading into 2027.
Bayern reportedly put Muharemovic high on their 2027 list
The latest report claims Bayern Munich are closely following Muharemovic after his strong start in the Premier League. The 23-year-old only joined Leeds from Sassuolo in July 2026, but his adaptation to English football has already increased the attention around him.
TEAMtalk reports that Bayern consider the Bosnia and Herzegovina defender a leading target for 2027. A January approach has not been completely ruled out in the report, although a mid-season transfer is viewed as highly unlikely because Leeds have no sporting or financial reason to sell one of their most important defenders so soon after signing him.
A move in the summer of 2027 is therefore presented as the more realistic scenario if Bayern decide to turn their interest into a concrete offer.
Leeds are in a strong negotiating position
Muharemovic signed a long-term contract at Elland Road after completing his move from Sassuolo. His Leeds United career chapter began on July 17, 2026, when the Premier League club officially completed the transfer.
The report states that the overall package for his move to Leeds could rise to around £34 million, while his performances have already pushed his perceived value higher. TEAMtalk says Leeds now view him as an asset worth more than £60 million.
That valuation is not an official asking price, and Leeds have not publicly indicated that Muharemovic is available. On the contrary, the report stresses that the club would require an extraordinary proposal before even considering a sale.
Why Bayern's interest is significant
For Muharemovic, being linked with Bayern represents another sign of how quickly his profile has grown. His career has already taken him from Austria to Juventus, Sassuolo and now the Premier League, a journey covered in detail in the complete Tarik Muharemovic career timeline.
His left-footed profile, physical presence and ability to defend aggressively while remaining composed in possession make him a natural fit for clubs searching for a modern centre-back with room to develop further.
However, Bavarian Football Works also added an important note of caution. Bayern currently have several established central defenders available, including Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah, Kim Min-jae and Hiroki Ito. That makes an immediate January deal difficult to imagine unless Bayern see Muharemovic as a strategic long-term opportunity.
Inter also remain attentive
Bayern are not reported to be the only major European club still watching Muharemovic. Inter Milan are also said to remain attentive after showing interest before his move to England.
Before Leeds completed the transfer, Newcastle United, Bournemouth and Sunderland had also been linked with the defender. The growing list of interested clubs underlines how much Muharemovic's reputation has changed since his breakthrough in Italy.
Muharemovic's value continues to rise
Muharemovic's development can also be followed through his club and international statistics, while his performances for Bosnia and Herzegovina have added another layer to his growing profile.
For now, there is no formal Bayern bid and no indication that Leeds are preparing to sell. The situation remains one to watch ahead of 2027, but one thing is clear: Muharemovic's name is increasingly being mentioned in conversations involving some of Europe's biggest clubs.
