Tarik Muharemović will start for Leeds United against FC Augsburg after Daniel Farke confirmed his starting XI for this afternoon's final pre-season friendly at Elland Road.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina international keeps his place in the side for another important test, with Leeds now just one match away from completing their preparations for the competitive season.
Muharemović starts against Augsburg
Muharemović has been handed the number five shirt in a Leeds starting XI that also includes Bogle, Justin, Rodon and Bijol, while Ampadu and Stach are among the other players selected from the first whistle.
The full Leeds United starting XI is:
- Trafford
- Bogle
- Justin
- Muharemović
- Rodon
- Bijol
- Ampadu
- Stach
- Wilson
- Aaronson
- Calvert-Lewin
Farke's selection gives Muharemović another opportunity to build on an encouraging pre-season and gain further minutes alongside players competing for significant roles when competitive football begins.
Another start after Manchester United test
The Augsburg selection comes only days after Muharemović was also named in the starting line-up against Manchester United at Croke Park in Dublin.
The Bosnian defender completed the first half of that game and produced another composed display. We looked at his performance in more detail after Muharemović impressed against Manchester United.
Being selected again for the final friendly gives him another chance to develop his understanding with the Leeds defence and finish his first pre-season in England with valuable match minutes.
Final opportunity before competitive football
Today's meeting with Augsburg is Leeds United's last friendly of the summer, making the starting XI particularly interesting as Farke makes his final assessments before competitive fixtures begin.
Earlier today, we covered the build-up to the game in our Leeds United vs Augsburg MATCHDAY update.
Muharemović has featured regularly throughout the closing stages of pre-season and another start against Bundesliga opposition represents an important opportunity for the 23-year-old defender.
Leeds vs Augsburg kicks off at 3pm
The friendly at Elland Road kicks off at 3:00pm BST, with Leeds looking to end their summer programme on a positive note in front of their home supporters.
The fixture is not being shown through a traditional television broadcast, although supporters can watch the match through the club's paid LUTV service. Full viewing information is available in our guide on how to watch Leeds United vs FC Augsburg.
For Muharemović, however, attention will now be entirely on the pitch as he gets another chance from the opening whistle at Elland Road.
